Fitsafe Technologies developed and internationally patented a “Worlds Best Practice” process that increased site safety, while cost effectively retrofitting additional entries into operational underground storage tanks containing petroleum products and volatile chemicals.
The Fitsafe Technologies method for retrofitting entries in to underground petroleum and chemical storage tanks is a world’s first as it is the safest and most cost effective process available to industry today with very little site interruption and no tank or site downtime incurred during the installation process. There is also no requirement for tank de-commissioning, purging, cleaning or de-gassing during the installation of the tank entry fitting and associated civil works.
Environmental programs and maintenance works requiring retrofitting of additional tank entries for Automated Tank Gauging (ATG), Stage I & Stage II Vapour Recovery (VR), Tank Cleaning and Inspection Ports can now be installed without having to consider the restricting factor site and tank closures due to excessive civil works to locate an entry point, which may not exist and the associated regret costs for site down time.
Only the Fitsafe Technologies Retrofit method provides a safe and cost effective answer for all environmental and operational upgrades of existing operational Underground Storage Tanks (UST’s).
The Fitsafe Technologies Retrofit process has become the preferred method of introducing additional entries for the Retail Petroleum Industry in Australia and New Zealand with more than 2000 applications completed without a single safety incident.
